Description

Minutes of PF general meeting of 23 February 1660 discussing among other issues, a letter from Philippe Le Vacher, vicar apostolic in Algiers, who asks that all those religious in Algiers be subject to him, and that he may be granted faculties to punish them when they cause scandals, or disturb him in his office (as was agreed upon for the Tunis mission in 1652). The cardinals decided to investigate what happened after the same faculties had been granted to the Tunis vicar, in order to prevent major disorders.
