Description

Minutes of PF general meeting of 18 October 1650 discussing among other issues, a letter from the nuncio to Paris in which he writes that Vincent de Paul has proposed a candidate to become the coadjutor of the bishop of Babylon, namely Claude Bampignon. The cardinals decide to order the nuncio to investigate who would be more suitable, Bampignon, or another candidate who has been proposed earlier, namely Jean des Lions; the nuncio should then choose out of the proposed candidates.
