Description

Minutes of PF general meeting of 19 January 1649 discussing among other issues, a letter from the nuncio to Naples about two Neapolitan priests belonging to the Congregation of the Mission in Naples, (not related to Vincent de Paul's CM), which had been founded with the permission of the bishop; the priests' names are Ruberto Alfano and Francesco Ardovino, and they volunteer for the mission in Congo. The nuncio says they have a good reputation on account of their doctrine and habits. The cardinals decide to make note of their names and find out whether there is a good time for a mission to the Congo to be established, or if necessary, to somewhere else.
