Description
Minutes of PF general meeting of 25 April 1656 discussing, among other issues, the candidates for the position of vicar apostolic in various Irish dioceses; the background and merits of all candidates are briefly discussed. PF approved all the candidates and ordered that their names be forwarded to the pope for confirmation, on the condition that they go to their dioceses within four months. PF also thinks that Edmund O'Reilly should become Primate of Armagh, so his name should also be forwarded to the pope for confirmation.
