PF minutes, 1657-09-03, Rome

Title

PF minutes, 1657-09-03, Rome

Subject

Scotland

Description

Minutes of PF general meeting of 3 September 1657 discussing among other issues, John Walker's request to receive provisions for the two years that he has been outside the Scottish mission; PF's response to a similar request from 27 March 1657 has been negative. Now there is a rumor that the procurator of the Scottish mission, [William] Lesley, has already given him the provision for the first year, in the hope that PF will refund his money. The cardinals decided that Walker should send them the book that he wrote during his stay in Paris, (which he also mentions in his petition).
