Description

Petition on behalf of Georgio Hayo [George Hay] to PF asking permission to enter the Scottish Benedictine monastery in Germany, despite the vow that he had taken to go to the Scottish mission. Both the rector of the Scottish College in Rome and the other students, state that he is unsuitable to be ordained. However since he is good at studying humanities, the procurator suggests that he should spend some time among CM priests, in order to see if he is suitable for the missions; if he is suitable, its suggested that he become a teacher in the missions. The issue was mentioned during PF meeting of 7 October 1664.
