Description
Letter from PF to the nuncio to France, Carlo Roberti de' Vittori. PF requests that de' Vittori ask Gio Le Vacher [Jean Le Vacher], to inform them about the qualities of Constantino Maurudi Da Tunisi (an Orthodox priest). They want to know: a) what he has been doing lately; b) whose student he was; c) what he does for the patriach of Alexandria; d) where he stayed during his time in Cyprus and Egypt; e) if he has any goodwill towards the Catholic faith; f) what his behavior is and how he acts towards Catholics; g) if he deems it necessary to give Maurudi a companion to help him; and h) if he could maintain this companion without any extra financial support from PF. PF expects Le Vacher to be able to provide this information, considering he has been vicar apostolic for a long time.
