Two copies of the same royal patent signed by Louis XIV and Anne of Austria, allowing Discalced Carmelites to go to Madagascar and establish churches, hospices and houses for themselves, in execution of Innocent X's decree giving them missionary faculties on the island. The patent orders the viceroy and other officials on the island to defend and protect the Carmelites.
