Briefly mentioned as 'duplicate of Le Féron's petition' by A. Coppo in "Documenti inediti per la storia della Congregazione della Missione, presso l'archivio della S. C. 'De Propaganda Fide,''' in Annali della Missione 80:1 (1973): 222-255, here 247. The version published in full by Coppo on pp. 225-233 comes from PF SOCG 387, f. 370r, 373v. The differences between the two versions are negligible.

Description
An account of the resource
Petition on behalf of Blaise Le Féron on behalf of CM, requesting its confirmation by PF as a mission. Approved by PF in November 1627.
Additional comments
As noted by Coppo, an additional "memoriale" was probably attached to this petition, which detailed the faculties requested for the missionaries ("infrascritte"); the "joined memo" is also noted on 374v. That document is missing. Coppo argues that it is very unlikely that the said "memoriale" was the 1625 founding contract of CM or the act of approval of that contract by the archbishop of Paris. See A. Coppo, 'Documenti inediti per la storia della Congregazione della Missione, presso l'archivio della S. C. 'De Propaganda Fide,'' in Annali della Missione 80:1 (1973), 222-255, here 233.
The date and place are taken from the duplicate, see: SOCG 198, 116r, 121v (database item 23).
